There are no passwords to remember. Enter the email address registered with KHAS on the sign in page and we'll send you a secure link - click it and you're in.

Volunteering for a shift

The Rota page lists upcoming museum opening sessions, showing who else is already down to steward, how many places remain, and a short weather forecast for the day. Pick a session that suits you and click the Volunteer button - no specialist knowledge is needed, and you'll always be paired with an experienced steward.

Changed your mind? You can remove yourself from a shift at any time, including close to the date, as long as doing so wouldn't leave it understaffed, without a key holder, or without an experienced steward - in that case you'll be asked to contact the administrator instead. If you can't make a session at the last minute, let us know via the Message Organisers page, or by phone or email.

Keeping track of your shifts

The My Shifts page shows the sessions you've volunteered for, both upcoming and past, all in one place.

Email notifications remind you of your upcoming shifts, and alert you to any 'at-risk' shifts that you may be able to help with. You can turn either of these on or off from My Account.

The My Account page lets you check and update your own details.

Your Health & Safety

For our museum openings and museum-related activities, the KHAS Committee delegates responsibility to a Museum Lead Trustee. The Museum Lead Trustee may delegate operational duties to other trustees or volunteers as appropriate, but remains responsible for ensuring that suitable risk assessments are in place, volunteers are briefed on relevant health and safety procedures, and the KHAS Health & Safety Policy is upheld.

KHAS holds public liability and Employers' Liability insurance for the museum and its activities, and all volunteers are covered by this insurance when acting in their role as a KHAS volunteer.

Your Privacy

We only hold the details we need to run the rota - your name and email address - and we never share them with third parties or use them for marketing. There are no passwords to steal, and no advertising or tracking scripts on this site.

Your phone number is entirely optional. Add one from My Account if you're happy for us to call you occasionally about shifts, and remove it again at any time - it's completely up to you.

On the Rota page, other volunteers only ever see your display name - never your email or phone number. And you can change your display name to whatever you like! Full contact details are visible only to KHAS administrators, who use them to help run shifts smoothly and get in touch if needed.
